November 29th Activities Updated!! |
- An added addition to the oportunities
of things to do Friday Nov. 29th. Gibbons Fiberglass has
graciously opened their doors to tours of their facility during
the Classic Thunder Car show. Gibbons is a manufacturer of fiberglass
body parts for hot rods and race cars. Don't miss this chance
to tour their plant.
- Friday, November 29th is gearing up to be one heck of a Car
Show. Not only a car show but a super swap meet with dealers and
vendors.
- The Classic Thunder Race Cars will be on display for your viewing
pleasure. Stop in and see what things were like when drag racing
was done in the 60's.
- Car Clubs, Bikers and more are invited to cruise-in and get
involved in the festivities. Who is the best of the best? That's
what will be decided Friday, November 29th at the Classic Thunder
Super Car Show.
- If your looking for something special, one of those hard to
find items, chances are it will be here. If you have car parts,
heads, intakes, rims, engine parts, bring them to Darlington and
sell them. What, don't have any car parts, don't let that stop
you. Bring your husbands tools, or your wife's rings. Bring anything
you like to the Darlington , Classic Thunder Super Swap Meet.
- Come on down, bring your lounge chair and kick back. Enjoy the
company of your friends and enjoy the music and more.

- All racers entering the Classic Thunder must register their
car at the Classic Thunder Registration Center.
- Entry Fee for the Darlington Classic Thunder Race is $30.00
- Definition of Pro Class:
- Gasser, blown, injected or carbs.
- Altereds: Blown nitro or alky,
Or Injected Nitro
- Front Engine Dragsters: Blown
nitro or alky, Injected nitro or alky.
- Funny Cars, must be blown or injected!
- Definition of
Semi-Pro Class:
- S/C SUPER / COMP
This class is for cars that have bodies
1975 and older
The car must have working doors
Any engine combination ANY!
- B/A SEMI PRO / ALTERED

This class is for front engine cars only Altered, dragster
or funny car style

| Pro pay-out |
- The pay-out for the pro class feild
will be per round in the qualified field. The qualified number
of cars per class will be determined after all cars have been
registered on race day. Example of proposed pay per round for
the Gas class can be found
here.

| Semi-Pro Pay-out |
- The pay-out for the semi-pro class will be 90% of the total
registration fees collected prior to the race. Splits per position
finished will be determined by the number of cars actually registered
to race. This will be a Quick (8/16) car field to be determined
after all cars have been registered.

to change, modifiy, consolidate any class to insure the best possible
show. |
