| Classic Thunder Introduces New Outlaw
Class |
| When Classic Thunder was concieved, we
had one defined class with rules and some general guidlines. That
class was the Gasser class. We had other classes in place but the
participation in those classes were limited in comparrision to the
Gassers. |
| Numerous cars were interested
in joining the Classic Thunder Gassers but did not meet the established
rules of the gassers. Some of these cars were allowed to run with
the gassers even though they were not gassers. This was done to make
sure Classic Thunder could provide a great show for the spectators.
|
| Our 2003 season brought even
more challenges concerning the CT Classes. Rickey Bowie, the director
of the gassers was challenged at one of the first races in 2003 about
the rules. At that point we decided that if the we adopt a rule, we
need to abide by the rule, no exceptions. By taking this stand we
had to tell some of our loyal racers they could not run with the gassers. |
| |
| Classic Thunder made a promise
to racers and spectators alike at the very beginning. We promised
to make very effort possible to provide a place for those special
racers that wanted to race with Classic Thunder. |
| |
| To keep this promise, Classic
Thunder will add the Classic Thunder Outlaw class to our program.
