Classic Thunder Outlaw Format
The new Outlaw Class format will be as all of the Classic Thunder Classes, Heads Up on a Pro Tree. Depending on the number of cars and the spread of et's established during qualifying. Pairing of cars will be done to provide the best show possible for the spectators.
Format In General
  1. Field:
    • To begin with, we will try for a 16 car qualified field. If the number of entries are less than 16, the format will be a quick 8.
  2. Qualifying :
    • Under normal race conditions and time permitting, each car will make two qualifying runs. His or her quickest time will determine the ladder position.
  3. Qualifying Position:
    • Qualifying positions will be listed from the quickest to the slowest.
    • As in all Classic Thunder events your qualifying position will be used to determine where you are place on the ladder to provide the best possible race for the spectators.
  4. Ladder Position:
    • Will be determined by the Directors of Classic Thunder to provide the best possible show for the spectators.
Special Conditions!
With this being an outlaw class, there is always the chance that there could be a pro mod style car or some other race car that meets all of the specified requirements but runs extremly fast.
If one or more of these cars enter the Classic Thunder Outlaw Class, the following format will be in effect.
  5. Handicaps:
    • Staggered Pro Tree based on ET
    • The Slower cars handicap advantage will not be displayed!
    • The Slower car has lane choice!
    • Will be in effect only if there is a large gap between the quickest et's and the rest of the feild. That difference will be determined by the CT Directors.
