Classic Thunders Payout Structure

At this time we are totaly dependant on the revenue generated by the gate for our payouts. This can be good and it can be not so good as we all know. We are working on several different proposal that we will be able to offer tracks that we hope will protect the racers from poor payouts. We believe that if the tracks have an investment in the show, they will be more willing to promote the race. The following are some ideas that we are bouncing around at this time.

Current Plan we are using: Right now we split the gate purse 50/50 with the track owner. The track owner is responsible for all exspenses incurred by his personel, safety equipment, medical personel, security, fire fighting equipment, timing equipment, track prep, insurance and anything elese pertaining to the operations of running a safe race. Classic Thunder is responsible for all of the advertising, flyers, radio, news paper ect. Classic Thunder is responsible for the payouts of all of the CT Show. Advertizing could allso be a pre race car show at specific locations to target more spectators and promote the awareness about the upcoming race. The tracks are not required to do any advertizing but are ask to hand out flyers furnished by Classic Thunder at multiple races prior to CT's race date.

Option # 1. There has been some discussion about streamling the CT show. I am not in favor of this simply because it does not meet the standards I made in my promise to the racers. If this was done, we would offer a track the Classic Thunder Show for $xxxx.xx. We would specify how many and what type cars would be there. This would basically say to the racers, we want this racers but not that racer. This would protect the racers of that race but would limit who could race when. This plan needs some work.

Option # 2. This plan would open the door to all of the racers to the race and has the potential to give the tracks somthing they have never had. Classic Thunder would offer the track a specified number of classes with a qualified 32 car field . Example, 16 gassers, 6 fuel altereds, 2 classic funny cars, 6 front engine fuel dragsters, 2 alcohol funny cars. We could build in a performance incentive that would insure these cars performed the best they could. The classes and cars per class were random and don't represent the actual program.
