- Appearance:
As we all know, the first impression we make on someone is the
one they remember. It's a form a branding and almost impossible
to replace. Classic Thunder will insist that all of the CT members
make every effort possible to make their car a show piece.
- The following are Conditions that
Do Not Meet Standards
- Any type racing vehicle that appears
to be unsafe!
- Cleanliness
- Dirt, oil, dope, grease, rust.
All of these reflect the amount of attention the car
has received.
- The amount of dirt, bird do,
spider webs and any other type conditions that reflect
the lack of proper maintenance.
- Oil; Dripping oil is a safety hazard.
- Dirty engines from oil leaks
- Rear ends or transmissions leaking
dope or fluid is a safety hazard for that car and the
racers in the next round.
- Rust; chassis and headers. Rusty
frames or chassis with excessive amounts of rust need
to be addressed in the proper manner. Rusty headers
are not acceptable.
- Body & Paint
- Race car bodies should be clean,
polished to the best appearing condition they can possibly
be.
- Bodies that have cracks or pieces
missing, need to be repaired and painted.
- Paint; Some of the Classic Thunder
cars have the original paint which makes them special. If
the original paint job is in the process of being restored,
a reasonable amount of time will be considered. Cars that
do not show any effort in the restoration process will not
be tolerated.
- Exceptions:
New cars that have not been painted or cars that suffered some
type body damage in a previous race will be excluded for a reasonable
time.
- Sportsmanship;
The members of Classic Thunder have shown the true meaning of
sportsmanship time and time again. As new members join we hope
they will uphold the same standard as I have witnessed in
the pass.
- Alcohol & Drugs
- At no time during qualifying or eliminations
will there be any alcohol consumed by anything other than
racing engines.
- Anyone observed consuming any type
alcohol or drugs prior to or during the qualifying sessions
or eliminations will not be allow to compete in the event.
This act endangers the driver, his opponent and the spectators
and will not be tolerated.
These are some of the standards that every
member of Classic Thunder will abide by. These and others are a
key part in the first impression that we make. |
